Nisay (Sopheanith THONG), an actress haunted by loss, returns to Cambodia and to Thida (Deka NINE)—a love once forbidden. Bound by the weight of family and society, their passion survives only in memory and performance, until it must fade away.

Director

LAI Yuqing (she/they), originally from Fujian and born in Tianjin, China, pursued studies in New York, Los Angeles, and Toronto. As a director, actor and musician, Yuqing has contributed to multiple short and feature films, with their works being shortlisted for prestigious festivals such as the Toronto International Film Festival, BFI Flare, and Sundance Ignite finalists. Their debut film, Whisperings of the Moon (2025), premiered at the 30th Busan International Film Festival. This lesbian love story explores themes of love and separation. Yuqing's unique approach to finding and expressing reality is through innovative and experimental genres. With a diverse background and experience in creation and growth, their works focus on queer, women, love and real life.
