As performers who once graced the stage during the golden era of San Francisco’s Chinatown nightclubs, a group of Chinese American women 1ow in their seventies to nineties are returning to the spotlight for a new tour. From the U.S. to Cuba, and all the way to their ancestral homeland of China, their dance moves have not dimmed with age. Instead, they radiate even greater strength, freedom, and timeless beauty. Their life stories are not only a vital part of immigration history, but also a deeply moving archive of women’s memories often overlooked by mainstream narratives.
